The Joy of Reading Summit is a Max Opus Round initiative centered on changing the reading culture in underrepresented communities. The Summit intends to inspire conversations around reading habits, literacy development, and education policy. We recognize that in a digital information world, the need for reading literature and enhancing ones diction has diminished over the years.

The Joy of Reading Summit will provide opportunities for discussion, research presentations, and workshops. We encourage educators, policymakers, community members, and students to attend and participate in the summit. We hope this summit inspires change makers, brings families closer together, and informs minority communities about the significance of lifelong reading habits.
