MOR | Literary Club is an elite literacy program for minority boys who finds difficulty with reading to assemble, embrace literature and engage in profound dialogue. We aim to improve reading comprehension and transform the literacy block into a rich, meaningful, and sustainable engagement.

 

We offer a 4 level year-round intensive reading intervention program delivered through a unique and rigorous curriculum. Each level is taught by experienced and enthusiastic teachers who are committed to educating our youths.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

  • Open to Georgia male students currently enrolled in 4th or 5th grade

  • Male youth who struggle with reading 

  • Completed "New Student Application"

  • Recommendation Letters

  • Most recent report card

  • Essay (short, free-form)

  • Follow steps I -IV below to apply and get more details

ENROLLMENT

The admissions process consists of four steps. We look for those with a natural curiosity for learning, determined to work hard with persistence and passionate about personal responsibility and meeting new friends. 

I

REGISTRATION  

 

The first step in registering for MOR Literary Club is submitting an application. Follow the instructions in the application to register for the program. Return application with a non-refundable $35 registration fee to the address indicated on the application by the due date. Complete the form below to request an application. 

 

II

OFFER & ACCEPTANCE  

 

After review of all applications, an offer letter will be sent to the applicant offering a place in the program. An acceptance response is expected back by the due date.

 

III

ENROLLMENT AGREEMENT & PERMISSION FORMS

Once acceptance letter is returned parents will receive an enrollment package to complete and return by the due date indicated in the enrollment package. 

IV

INTERVIEW & PLACEMENT SCREENING  

 

Following the completion of the enrollment process a placement screening date will be scheduled for prospective member.
